I first met Sam and Steven in a small coffee shop in Morehead City North Carolina, along with Sam’s momma Cheryl. We had an immediate connection, the one that makes you feel like you have been friends for a long time.
Sam was nervous, anxious and Steven was quiet. But as soon as we started talking about where they met, and plans for their day they became quite comfortable.
It can be scary making a big decision like who to hire for your wedding photography, so I understand and I was willing to sit there all night (which we did close the coffee shop down LOL!) if need be to answer question…
ask questions and get to know my couples…and I was stoked when I got the call from Sam’s mom Cheryl that they had decided on ME…as their photographer.
Sam and Steven, it was an honor to be apart of your day, the joy, laughter and obvious love for each other and family was amazing to watch….
Atlantic Beach was a beautiful setting for your day.
God heard our pleas for the impending storm to pass and it did,
so you had a fabulous day despite a little wind.
I wish you both years and years and years of Laughter, Love and Friendship…it’s what holds marriages together.
Here is your love story
The rehearsal went off with out a hitch….
But they were calling for a coastal storm the weekend of Sam and Steven’s wedding.
The locals said “nope, it’s gonna pass late in the night and be beautiful tomorrow”
Not what the weather channel was saying but I trusted them and sure enough, they were right…it came through about 3am and was GORGEOUS on the wedding day!
The unofficial bouquet toss
There are no prettier sunsets than on the Crystal Coast.
This DRESS!! Sam sent me several photos when trying on gowns for her big day…when she sent me this one… from Savvi Bridal Boutique in Raleigh
I was immediately in LOVE with the top beading the satan and the gorgeous way it draped her long slender body
it was perfect for her and perfect for photographs…
If you want to see more of this beautiful dress go to her bridal portraits blog…Here.
The guys always have the coolest games in their getting ready locations!
They all wore suits provided by The Wedding Elf in Morehead City NC
If there are more than one in a Selfie…they are now called Usie’s 🙂
The beautiful flowers were made by Sandy’s Flower Shoppe in Morehead City. They were a perfect mix of teal, peach and cream roses, with starfish accents.
Love it when my branding colors show up in my weddings…
Sometimes getting in your dress looks more like the dress giving birth to a bride. 🙂
I don’t remember exactly what was said, but Sam laughed for like 5 minutes.
Sam, that dress was MADE for you…
Funny face Selfies…
Laughter is good medicine…and they were very healthy that day…with a lot of laughter.
She wore a vintage family heirloom hair piece.
They chose not to do a first look but quickly talked to each other around a door before the ceremony.
Her momma walked her down to her new life.
Beautiful puffy white clouds adorned the sky (so you know I was HAPPY), and the crashing of the waves was our symphony.
These guys! LOL.
And then this happened! LOL.
The new Mr. and Mrs.
You know your life together will be filled with joy when God’s promise through a rainbow surrounds you!
I say again, the Crystal Coast has the most beautiful sunsets. I do love being a Crystal Coast Wedding Photographer just for the sunsets alone 🙂
Plus the awesome brides and grooms.
I love how the wind carried her dress when she walked….
A first dance as the sun sets over the dunes, makes for beautiful light…
She shared a first dance with her grandpa. It was so sweet.
The Cake was made by Vickie Hopkins and it was delicious!
As the sun was in its final moments, we stole away from the party to capture a few more intimate private moments with the setting sun
and they were magical.
This was the one image that Sam really had in mind and it turned out beautiful…and the moon was an added bonus.
Sam quickly slipped out of her dress and into her “party all night dress”….
and enjoyed the rest of her evening with her new husband, family and friends under the stars
and to the sound of the crashing waves of the
Mr. and Mrs. Pohoresky.
Sam and Steven,
It was my honor to be apart of your day.
Thank you for trusting me as your photographer.
It was perfect in every way.
