I got a call while I was at The Cape. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Getting ready to head out the door to go to the beach, I answered my phone and it was the Jaclyn’s mom on the other end…”Hello, my name is Diane Quinn my daughter Jaclyn is getting married next May and we are hoping you are available to shoot her wedding, we LOVE your work” Now that’s a way to start your day. But the funny thing is Kevin had not yet popped the question….Ok that was a first…booking me for their wedding at the Founders Inn and he had not put a ring on it yet.
When we met for the first time the entire family came….from both sides….this was a close knit family affair…and I realized when I saw Kevin’s mom walk in that I knew them from a church I was a member of years ago…small world…amazing meeting…within a week we had a signed contract and the planning commenced! First was their awesome engagement session which you can see Here (Jaclyn and Kevin’s Engagement Session – Regent University)…oh and by the way he FINALLY popped the question in Disney a few short weeks after our meeting…good thing she said yes! LOL
Kevin and Jaclyn…your day was perfect, smooth as silk and loads of family, fun and full of gorgeous people.
Here is your HUGE wedding weekend story!
The rehearsal went off with out a hitch, it was a beautiful night. Jaclyn your dad is a hoot!
Paula and Jess’s magic on hair and makeup was not only gorgeous…and stayed that way until all night without a flaw! Beautiful job ladies!
I will give you one guess where they went on their honeymoon.
Ummm drop dead gorgeous!
First looks with daddies just melt my heart..Jaclyn’s dad is such a jokester and in this moment he was speachless.
Ane then the real Jim reappeared…LOL…pulling shooters out of his coat for them and Diane egging them on. LOL.
Your girls were all beautiful! What a sweet group of girls you had standing by your side.
We got photobombed by a guy on the TV screen! LOL.
Her bouquet had her baby bracelet on it and her grandmothers cross…Palette of Pedals you really know how to make a flower lover swoon.
I have always had brides put their jewelry on by a window for pretty light…this was WAY better! <3
And then there was Jim again… LOL..
Meanwhile the boys were off getting ready and doing fun groom and groomsmen things…
So this is where you get your super strength? Fireball!
What a good looking group of guys!
Selfies here….selfies there…selfies selfies everywhere.
Back inside Kevin’s mom waited to deliver a special note and gift from Kevin to his bride.
Few last words from the new father and mother in law, mom and an almost kiss on the cheek from his sister. 😉
I love seeing the moment their eye finely meet.
Kevin said “I’m not gonna cry…” Fail. 🙂 She was worth every tear Kevin…she looked amazing!
The Dip Kiss! Perfection.
Bridal party selfie! So cute!
The new Mr. and Mrs. Ballance.
I think they were super excited to be heading to cocktail hour! While we started the bridal party photos and fun!
And then THIS happened….We were all laughing so hard…
OMG. This is just to funny!
Then we were off to shoot their portraits…they rode on the back of my Mustang to our first location. The Bridge.
We ran from location to location, because one.. we were running out of time..and two Nancy was guarding our car that may or may not have been parked in the wrong place.
Off to be announced and get the party started! But first one more kiss.
The room was beautiful with blue, yellow, burlap and wood accents. Simplistic rustic charm.
I was expecting something out of Jim during the dance, but he behaved.
This beautiful simple cake…was melt in your mouth amazing.
Jaclyn’s grandparents have been married 59 years! Simply astonishing and wonderful.
W.O.B.B.L.E Baby Wobble it! Get in there! Yea Yea.
These mommas were no slackers on the dance floor! LOVE IT!
It just makes me so happy when couples make time in their evening for night time portraits.
And…then a little special request by the groom for these. <3 They turned up the heat!
Back inside for the tosses and then a special sweet treat!
He pulled out handcuffs and I thought Jaclyn was gonna die!
Just a couple more fun bridal party shots to wrap up the evening…
And ICE CREAM! Mr. Softie Ice Cream Truck showed up to treat the guests as they left. What a sweet way to end the night.
Jaclyn and Kevin it was a perfect day.
